Tyson Foods seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support project management and innovation efforts across the Innovation Pipeline. This entry-level role partners with cross-functional teams to plan execution and help achieve corporate growth and product performance goals.

The Assistant Project Manager provides project management and innovation assistance for assigned projects that contribute to business growth. The Assistant Project Manager Innovation role is a key contributor to the overall innovation management team responsible for working with cross functional teams in planning the execution of the Innovation Pipeline. The Assistant Project Manager BU Innovation role is an entry-level role that works closely with the larger team to execute strategic business and marketing plans to achieve corporate and product volume profit and share objectives.
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, food science, marketing or other related discipline preferred. Formal certification in Project Management preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 1 year of relevant project management experience preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Strong verbal and written communication skills to include time management skills. Strong influencing skills, with internal cross-functional and external stakeholders is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Advanced PC skills using Microsoft Office products and MS Project and able to generate graphs, presentations, and charts.
SPECIAL SKILLS (Preferred): Demonstrated strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, strong collaborator with a demonstrated ability to work with and lead cross functional teams, proven ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment is required. Attention to detail and strength in execution, ability to assist with multiple projects simultaneously, and strong organization skills.
