Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a seasoned professional to manage equipment performance and factory metrics within the Innovation Equipment team. You will analyze data, develop solutions, and lead cross-functional initiatives with internal Samsung teams and external vendors.

Your role requires strong communication, project management, and Lean Six Sigma background to drive improvements across fab operations and equipment maintenance. This is an on-site role in Austin.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in semiconductor industry; operations and equipment maintenance knowledge.
• 3+ years as Project or Program Manager with Lean/Six Sigma background preferred.
• Green/Black Belt Lean Certification preferred.
• Strong data analysis and visualization capabilities with relevant tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage fab-wide equipment engineering improvement projects across cross-functional teams and business units.
• Lead Lean activities including Value Stream Mapping, process mapping, and AIW.
• Collaborate with fab engineering to analyze gap-to-goal and drive performance initiatives.
• Prepare staff/executive level presentations, proposals, and status reports to drive continuous improvement.

Position Summary

As a member of the Innovation Equipment team, this person will be responsible for managing equipment performance and factory metrics in collaboration with Fab Engineering teams. The position will require strong knowledge of semiconductor equipment operation and maintenance, in order to analyze equipment data, develop solutions, and ensure actions are implemented. Additionally, this role will need to exhibit strong communication skills in order to lead cross-functional teams internally to Samsung and externally with equipment vendors and OEMs.

• B.S.inmechanical,chemicalorelectricalengineeringpreferred.Otherengineering/manufacturingdegreesaccepted.
• Minimumof5+yearsexperienceinSemiconductorindustryrequired.Knowledgeintheoryofoperationsandequipmentmaintenancepreferred.
• 3+yearsofexperienceinaProjectorProgramManagerpositionwithabackgroundinLeanand/orSixSigma.
• Green/BlackBeltLeanCertificationpreferred.
• CustomerFocus:DedicatedtofindingandbringingValueintheiranalysistoourinternalandexternalcustomers.

The current base salary range for this role is between $76,000 - $145,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
