Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a high‑performing automation digital transformation engineer. You will join a fast‑paced manufacturing team, supporting internal and external customers with innovative automation solutions and strong system stewardship.

You’ll work on maintaining complex systems, collaborating with vendors, and supporting new fabs system startups. A proactive, customer‑service oriented mindset is essential in this full‑time, on‑site role.

Qualifications

• Strong experience understanding complex system interactions.
• Proven technical troubleshooting skills across platforms.
• Experience with Python and popular packages (numpy, scipy, polars).
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes fundamentals.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Postgres, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Familiarity with Linux and basic operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation solutions for customer automation needs.
• Maintain complex systems with ongoing functional and documentation improvements.
• Collaborate with vendors for troubleshooting and system setup.
• Work closely with DSK setup teams for new fabs system startup.
• Sustain and continuously improve system performance.

Position Summary

This engineer will work within a fast-paced manufacturing small team environment, supporting both internal and external department customers. The applicant must be highly motivated, enjoy solving very difficult problems, and maintain a high level of customer service.

The current base salary range for this role is between $95,000 - $120,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
