Qualifications

• Experience supervising inmates or similar populations.
• Must pass P.O.S.T. certification within the specified time frame.
• Valid driver’s license; Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred.
• Ability to stand/walk outdoors and lift light to heavy objects; operate safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise inmate work sites; report inmate problems to supervisor or officials; conduct inmate searches for contraband.
• Administer medications and provide first aid; respond to medical requests.
• Transport inmates to/from work assignments and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain daily incident, accident and activity reports; ensure maintenance meets specs.
• Train inmates, assign work, and supervise tasks; maintain records and safety practices.
• Attend training to upgrade skills (self-defense, firearms, CPR, report writing, communication).
• Inspect areas around planting sites; verify underground utilities and proper planting techniques.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
