Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• No prior experience required.
• Additional experience in corrections or related fields may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Interview, evaluate and assess inmates to identify behavioral patterns
• Develop case history on inmates
• Serve on committees to determine classification
• Prepare reports to assist with classification
• Provide daily counsel to inmates regarding the institution as well as personal or family matters
• Respond to inmate requests and outside agencies
