Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college accounting courses preferred.
• Two years of progressive clerical experience with emphasis on fiscal and accounting duties.
• Ability to use computers and accounting software common in the department.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and good grammar.

Responsibilities

• Balances assigned accounts daily.
• Assists with data entry and maintenance of computerized files.
• Collects cash and credits inmate accounts.
• Processes withdrawals to ensure expenditures stay within obligations.
• Generates reports related to the inmate account system.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
