The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a diligent Bookkeeper to handle accounts payable/receivable, payroll including inmate payroll, and banking reconciliations.

The role supports month-end close, budgeting, and reporting within GEO’s correctional and community reentry services framework. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years in accounting, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with standard office equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
• Two years in an accounting related capacity.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to follow complex instructions and maintain records.
• Ability to operate common office equipment (terminals, fax, copiers).

Responsibilities

• Process all accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Manage employee payroll and inmate payroll.
• Make bank deposits and balance checking accounts.
• Prepare reports for accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
• Oversee travel orders, advances, and reimbursements.
• Assist in month-end closing, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Ensure inventory accuracy in warehouses and storage areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
