Job summary

Indium Corporation seeks a Manufacturing Systems Engineer in Utica, NY to design, implement, and sustain control systems that embed quality into production. You'll collaborate with Quality, IT, Engineering and Operations to deploy automated systems for real-time visibility and defect prevention.

The role involves integrating legacy equipment with sensors and MES/ERP data, leading CI projects, and ensuring usability on the shop floor.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with DMAIC, SPC, MES, and Lean principles.
Drafting/design software is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Willingness to travel and own transportation between Indium facilities.

Responsibilities

Design and implement manufacturing control systems with inline quality monitoring.
Integrate legacy equipment with sensors, data acquisition, and ERP data for real-time visibility.
Develop Health of Line metrics and report insights to stakeholders.
Lead CI projects to automate processes and reduce risk.
Collaborate with IT and Digital Manufacturing on MES, SPC, and analytics platforms.
Ensure system usability and adoption on the shop floor.
Own SPC systems and Engineering KPI dashboard post-launch.
Coordinate CI project work across domestic and international sites.
