Job summary

Brayman Construction seeks an experienced Marine Fleet Supervisor to oversee the marine fleet supporting heavy civil construction for the Montgomery Lock & Dam Project on the Ohio River in Monaca, PA. The role handles towboats, barges and floating cranes on an active inland river system.

The position is long-term, full-time, with a Monday–Friday schedule (~45 hours/week) and overtime as needed. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) and PTO.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of marine construction or inland river fleet experience.
• Experience supervising marine crews or barge fleets.
• Experience on lock and dam projects or inland navigation pools.
• Knowledge of towboat operations, barge handling, and floating crane operations.
• Maritime licenses or marine safety certifications preferred.
• Recent verifiable work history required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the project marine fleet including towboats, barges, floating cranes, and support vessels.
• Coordinate movement, mooring, and positioning of construction barges within the navigation pool.
• Support marine construction activities including barge crane operations and pile driving.
• Coordinate marine crews including towboat operators, deckhands, and equipment operators.
• Monitor river conditions and navigation traffic for project activities.
• Ensure compliance with USACE requirements, Coast Guard regulations, and safety policies.
• Maintain equipment readiness and coordinate maintenance of marine vessels and floating equipment.
• Maintain safe and organized marine work areas.
• Serve as hands-on field leader coordinating equipment and personnel.
