Qualifications

• Experience in distribution management, sales, account management, business development, and relationship management.
• Strong negotiation, prospecting and qualifying, risk assessment, and financial analysis capabilities.
• Demonstrated critical thinking, customer focus, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Education: College degree or equivalent job-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Apply intermediate-level underwriting analysis, coverage, and pricing skills to evaluate inland marine and related property risks.
• Assess intricate risks across various industries using historical data and industry trends to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Develop comprehensive risk management plans for accounts and territories.
• Interpret complex financial data and evaluate financial stability to guide risk assessments and pricing strategies.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of loss prevention tactics and collaborate with risk engineering professionals to develop loss prevention programs and risk mitigation solutions.
• Develop complex policies that balance comprehensive coverage with accurate pricing through effective utilization of endorsements and specialized coverage options.
• Align coverages offered with appropriately developed coverage terms, limits, and pricing based on a strong understanding of all coverage components.
• Apply intermediate-level underwriting process and compliance skills to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate tasks by engaging appropriate internal and external stakeholders at the right time to deliver optimal outcomes.
• Prepare for and conduct effective agency review meetings that support the goals of the organization.
