Responsibilities

• Apply intermediate-level underwriting analysis, coverage, and pricing skills to evaluate inland marine and related property risks.
• Assess intricate risks across various industries using historical data and industry trends to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Develop comprehensive risk management plans for accounts and territories.
• Interpret complex financial data and evaluate financial stability to guide risk assessments and pricing strategies.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of loss prevention tactics and collaborate with risk engineering professionals to develop loss prevention programs and risk mitigation solutions.
• Develop complex policies that balance comprehensive coverage with accurate pricing through endorsements and specialized coverage options.
• Align coverages offered with coverage terms, limits, and pricing based on coverage components.
• Apply intermediate-level underwriting process and compliance skills to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate tasks by engaging internal and external stakeholders to deliver optimal outcomes.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance laws and regulations to ensure policies meet legal requirements.
• Create detailed and organized documentation that outlines underwriting decisions.
• Apply intermediate-level sales acumen in account service, account management, cross-selling, business development, and marketing strategy.
• Conduct negotiations, prospecting and qualifying, solution development, and competitive analysis to drive profitable growth.
• Apply distribution management skills to manage agency relationships and submission flow.
• Build strong relationships with agency partners to drive profitable submissions and foster long-term partnerships.
• Prepare for and conduct effective agency review meetings.
