Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Injury Prevention Specialist to support an on-site program in North Reading, MA. You will implement ergonomic practices, trained personnel, and first aid oversight as part of the Environment Health and Safety function.

You will lead training programs, analyze tasks for safety issues, and provide initial medical assessments for injuries. Real-time coaching and recordkeeping are key components of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering ergonomic and safety training.

• First Aid/CPR certification preferred but not required.

Injury Prevention Specialist

1st shift - On-Site North Reading, MA.

About the Role:

As a CBREInjury Prevention Specialist, you will assist in the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs related to a large market area.

This job is part of the Environment Health and Safety function. They are responsible for injury prevention and management (first aid) activities to safeguard associates and surrounding communities.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and deliver training programs to educate associates on ergonomic practices and injury prevention techniques.
• Proactively analyze tasks for potential ergonomic and safety issues, conducting biomechanical and ergonomic assessments.
• Deliver initial medical assessment to personnel who sustain workplace injuries or illnesses and evaluate whether escalation to external healthcare providers or emergency services is warranted.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping.
• Educate associates on proper movement techniques to prevent soft tissue injuries and optimize body mechanics.
• Evaluate trends in soft tissue injuries and develop training initiatives to address identified trends.
• Offer accommodation recommendations related to job placements for associates with medical restrictions.
• Maintain a regular presence in operational work areas to engage with team members at all levels, providing real-time coaching and guidance on safe work practices and behaviors.

• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
• Impact the quality of own work and the work of others on the team.
• Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association
• First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, must obtain within 3 weeks of start date.
• Certification in one of the following: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), or Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST).

Experience performing Athletic Training and/or First Aid services in an industrial setting.

• Experience reviewing data to drive guidance on performance, compliance, concerns, and improvement to external stakeholders.
• Understanding procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
• Ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.

• Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts
