Job Summary

Performs a variety of administrative/secretarial duties to support a department, school/college, program or unit. Will compile and analyze information for reports or presentations; may assist with bookkeeping duties to track budgets, respond to correspondence; edits and proof reads documents; maintains records and databases, and updates them as necessary; assists with scheduling and maintenance of calendars, makes travel arrangements, answers questions about routine policies applicable to the department or office unit; and may oversee student employees.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Applies basic working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures to varied situations.
  2. Schedules appointments, makes travel arrangements, maintain calendars, greets visitors.
  3. Handles sensitive or confidential information.
  4. Composes memos and routine office memoranda, transcribes notes.
  5. Answers phones, routes callers, takes messages.
Qualifications
  • Typically a high school diploma.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Basic knowledge of office machines, word processing, spreadsheet, email and databases. (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills.
  • General knowledge of standard office procedures.
Salary & Employment Type

Hiring Salary $24.09 hourly. Salary Range $24.09 - $30.09 Salary commensurate with education and experience. Staff Per-Diem (Fixed Term) (Seasonal) Salary range This position is non-exempt. Please note that this position may not be eligible for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
