Job summary

OPmobility in Toledo, Ohio is seeking an Injection and Tooling Engineer to drive tool concept validation and optimize injection processes. You will lead technical discussions with toolmakers, manage trials, analyze results, and ensure safety and quality targets are met.

A bachelor in plastics or tooling design with 3–5 years of experience and strong English, Excel, Word, PowerPoint skills are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in plastics or injection tools design (or equivalent).
3–5 years of experience in injection & tooling field.
Good command of English (oral and written).
Advanced skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and design software/viewers.

Responsibilities

Takes part to the injection tool concept validation.
Brings technical proposals to improve Quality, Cost, Lead time.
Main technical contact with toolmakers during the project life.
Uses department data base tools (TCRD, FAC, Action plan, trial evaluation).
Organizes and leads the Trial Preparation Meeting and injection tools trials.
Participates in trials and manages actions to reach trial targets safely.
Takes part in wash up meeting after trials for analysis and synthesis with the core team.
Updates the action plan (FAC) and shares information with toolmakers.
Responsible for factory tool transfer stage and injection process reliability with factory specs.
