Job summary

OPmobility in Toledo, Ohio, is looking for an Injection and Tooling Engineer to drive injection tooling concept validation and ensure targets in quality, cost, and lead time are met. You will act as the main technical contact with toolmakers and manage trials, action plans, and safe execution.

You should have a bachelor degree in plastics or injection tools design, strong Excel/Office skills, and 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in plastics or injection tools design or equivalent.
• Strong command of English for international collaboration.
• 3–5 years of significant experience in Injection & tooling field.

Responsibilities

• Takes part to the injection tool concept validation.
• Proposes technical options to improve quality, cost, and lead time.
• Acts as the main technical contact with toolmakers during the project.
• Uses department data base tools (TCRD, FAC, Action plan, trial evaluation).
• Organizes and leads the Trial Preparation Meeting and oversees Injection Tools trials.
• Manages trials and required actions to meet targets with safety rules.
• Participates in wash-up meetings and analyzes results with the core team.
• Updates the FAC action plan and communicates with toolmakers.
• Responsible for factory tool transfer stage and injection process reliability.
