Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure is seeking a Set-Up Technician to install and remove molds and lines for molding machines, and to maintain the condition of molds and equipment.

You will follow defined procedures for changing molds, connect water and hydraulic lines, install nozzles and heater blocks, operate cranes and forklifts, and keep mold components clean and safe while supporting other duties as assigned. This role requires mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Crane experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of injection molding experience.
• Experience with hand and power tools.
• Previous experience changing molds in plastics machines.
• Ability to communicate verbally or in writing.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures for removing molds from machines: water/hydraulic lines, nozzles, heater blocks, and mold unfastening.
• Follows procedures for installing molds: connect water/hydraulic lines, install nozzles/heater blocks, clamp molds.
• Cleans and repairs molding nozzles.
• Wires heater bands.
• Installs/removes inserts for molds as scheduled.
• Rigs molds for removal and installation.
• Transports molds using crane and forklift.
• Maintains cleanliness, safety, and functionality of mold components and tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
