Honor Plastics & Molding is seeking a Setup Technician to set up plastic injection molds and related equipment, following safety and setup procedures to ensure reliable production.

Duties include setting up machines per work orders, inspecting molds for leaks or malfunctions, removing molds after runs, maintaining a clean workspace, and reporting unsafe conditions. Training provided on safety and maintenance procedures.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of an injection molding plant.
• Experience in setup molds.
• Basic math skills and basic understanding of the English language.

Aufgaben

• Responsible for molding machine set up including ancillary equipment as related to the molding process such as screw, barrels, material dryers and thermolator.
• Follows work orders, blueprints, and programming folders to set up plastic injection molding machines to produce quality parts
• Inspect molds after set-up for water leaks, loose water hose clamps, or any mechanical malfunction that may prevent production
• Removes molds at the completion of the run and prepares for storage or repair
• Responsible for proper handling and care of all materials, molds and tooling
• Analyze part defects and adjust processes while following validated parameters and GMP
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and report unsafe conditions
• Operates machines and production equipment safely and in accordance with instructions
• Perform any other assignments given by Production Manager.

The primary functions of a Setup Technician is to setup molds. Setup Technician will follow safety and setup procedures to ensure molds are safely set up.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for molding machine set up including ancillary equipment as related to the molding process such as screw, barrels, material dryers and thermolator.
• Follows work orders, blueprints, and programming folders to set up plastic injection molding machines to produce quality parts
• Inspect molds after set-up is completed for the following: water leaks, loose water hose clamps, or any mechanical malfunction of the mold that may prevent a proper production run.
• Removes molds at the completion of the run and prepares for storage or repair
• Responsible for proper handling and care of all materials, molds and tooling
• Analyze part defects and make appropriate process adjustments as needed while following validated parameters as well as following good manufacturing practices
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and report any unsafe conditions to supervisor
• Operates machines and production equipment safely and in accordance with instructions
• Perform any other assignments given by Production Manager.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Knowledge of an injection molding plant.
• Experience in setup molds
• Basic math skills and basic understanding of the English language.

Physical Requirements:

• Sit, stand, and walk for long period of time.
• Lift up to 25 pounds and good hand-eye coordination.
• Must be able to talk, Listen, and speak clearly.

Training Provided:

• Safety Trainings.
• IQMS & Internet (if needed).
• Trained on preventative maintenance requirements.
• Trained on the proper use of company tools and their storage.
