Job summary

ADDMAN Engineering seeks a Set-up Technician to prepare processes for injection molding machines and to set up other equipment for assembly. This person must have a thorough knowledge of the plastic molding process to maintain or adjust equipment to ensure production specifications.

They oversee production activities in the absence of the Shift Supervisor, with strong problem solving and teamwork across QA and operators. The role emphasizes safety, continuous training, and hands-on maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Thorough knowledge of plastic and/or molding processes.
• Knowledge of mold construction and components.
• Knowledge of properties of common injection moldable resins.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot small engine problems as part of setup and maintenance.
• Explain diagnoses and repairs to customers when required.
• Pursue technical and product training when available.
• Maintain quality through accuracy and thorough work.
• Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Train operators and ensure they are comfortable before leaving machines.
• Clean and organize molding supply areas and equipment daily.
• Support process documentation and continuous improvement efforts using basic quality tools.
