Job summary

Boutique Recruiting is seeking a Sales Engineer to expand its presence across the North American plastics manufacturing market.

You will identify and develop new business, consult with manufacturers on production needs, recommend injection molding solutions, deliver technical presentations and demonstrations, prepare quotes and proposals, and build relationships with engineers, procurement teams, and business leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years of direct injection molding machine sales experience.
• Recent/in-industry experience; 3+ years out of industry not considered.
• Proven ability to generate new business, build relationships and manage complex sales cycles.
• Strong understanding of plastics manufacturing and injection molding processes.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the U.S., up to 80-90%.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities with manufacturers and suppliers across assigned North American territories
• Consult with customers to understand production requirements and recommend the right injection molding machinery and solutions
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, proposals, quotes, and RFQ responses
• Build and maintain relationships with engineers, procurement teams, executives, and other key customer stakeholders
• Manage the sales pipeline and customer opportunities through CRM while supporting pricing discussions and contract negotiations
• Attend trade shows and industry events while gathering market, competitor, and customer intelligence
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to resolve customer challenges and optimize production, energy efficiency, and equipment selection
