Job summary

Zenith Home Corp is seeking an Setup & Process Technician for injection molding to ensure stable, efficient operations and product consistency. The role emphasizes mold setup, process optimization, and proactive troubleshooting to meet production and quality targets.

This non-exempt position requires hands-on technical work, collaboration with Maintenance and Engineering, and adherence to safety practices in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of injection molding setup and processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of plastics materials and molding parameters.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting molding defects and machine issues.
• Ability to use hand tools, measurement tools, and process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Setup & Process Technician – Injection Molding: oversee mold setups, changeovers, and line clearance.
• Machine Setup & Changeovers: perform safe mold installations, verify utilities, and execute SMED-driven transitions.
• Process Development & Optimization: establish processing parameters, document sheets, monitor OEE, Cp/Cpk.
• Production Support & Troubleshooting: respond to alarms, diagnose issues, provide floor support and training.
• Quality & Documentation: follow safety, control plans, ensure compliance, maintain records.
• Safety & Workplace Practices: follow lockout/tagout, maintain organized work areas.
