Job summary

Mayzon in Delaware is seeking a Setup & Process Technician to optimize injection molding operations, perform mold changeovers, and troubleshoot to meet safety and production targets.

You will work on machines, develop processing parameters, train operators, and document procedures while upholding PPAP, quality, and lean principles. This non-exempt role requires hands-on problem solving and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of injection molding setup and processing experience.
• Strong knowledge of plastics materials and molding parameters.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting molding defects and machine issues.
• Ability to use hand tools, measurement tools, and process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and efficient mold installations, removals, and startups.
• Connect and verify utilities (water, hydraulics, pneumatics, auxiliaries).
• Set up and validate dryers, blenders, robots, hot runners, and temperature controllers.
• Complete material verification and line clearance prior to production.
• Execute changeovers using SMED and lean principles.
• Seek opportunities to reduce setup time and improve efficiency.
• Respond to machine alarms, quality issues, and production interruptions.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and process problems.
• Provide on-floor technical support to operators and production staff.
• Train operators on startup, shutdown, and process monitoring procedures.
