Biomerics in Winston-Salem, NC seeks an Injection Molding Process Technician to support safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. You will optimize production, maintain equipment, and drive continuous improvement across the line.

This role involves setting up molds, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with maintenance, quality, and engineering to meet KPI targets while ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastics processing with troubleshooting background.
• Ability to train and be trained for growth in the field.
• Good communication and English literacy.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Proficient in basic math and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Follow and promote all safety standards; report any concerns promptly.
• Set up molds and machines per established processes to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Support mold changes, machine operation, and production needs as required.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas in line with 5S standards.
• Adjust machine settings to resolve defects while maintaining cycle time.
• Assist with material handling and training of new team members.
• Set up and fine-tune robotic part-handling systems.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Quality, and Operations to resolve production issues.
• Troubleshoot and optimize molding processes using data-driven adjustments.
• Develop and refine processes to meet performance targets (KPIs).
• Monitor schedules and proactively address production challenges.
• Support team development and provide guidance to junior staff.
• Communicate effectively with leadership and engineering to drive improvements.
