Job summary

Westfall Technik is seeking a Process Technician at the Asheboro facility to support injection molding operations. You will start up machines, respond to alarms, assist with cavity and core changes, and help optimize tooling and processes.

The role emphasizes equipment uptime, tooling accuracy, and safe work practices. A strong mechanical aptitude and experience in molding are preferred. We offer a stable, growth‑oriented environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year certificate from college or technical school; or 3–6 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with injection molding processes and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for machine start ups and ensuring production readiness.
• First response to machine and secondary equipment alarms; troubleshoot and resolve quickly.
• Assist toolroom with cavities, slides, or cores changes as needed.
• Analyze and make recommendations to improve tools and processes.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with safety policies.
• Ensure machines and robots run at maximum efficiency and uptime.
• Troubleshoot mold problems and report issues to Shift Supervisor.
• Complete paperwork accurately and on time; report mold changes and maintenance tasks.
