Job summary

Westfall Technik, LLC is seeking a Tooling Technician at our Asheboro, NC facility. You will report tool status to production and engineering, explain changes in team meetings, and support tooling audits.

Proficiency with CAD/CAM, mold tooling systems, and precision measurement is essential. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in tooling or mold roles, hands-on experience with injection molding, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical degree or certification in Tooling, Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Tooling Technician, Mold Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience in injection molding or related processes and tooling systems.
Experience with mold repair, preventive maintenance, and tooling setup is essential.
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with a deep understanding of tooling, molds, and machining techniques.
Proficient in using precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMMs) to check tooling accuracy.

Responsibilities

Clear reporting of tool status and issues to production and engineering teams.
Explain tooling changes, setups, and preventive actions in teams meetings and support documentation.
Skilled in CAD/CAM and tooling management; familiar with CNC interfaces and measurement tools.
Use wear data and production feedback to optimize tool performance.
