Job summary

Westfall Technik, LLC is seeking a Tooling Technician at our Asheboro, NC facility. You will report tool status to production and engineering, explain changes in team meetings, and support tooling audits.

Proficiency with CAD/CAM, mold tooling systems, and precision measurement is essential. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in tooling or mold roles, hands-on experience with injection molding, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical degree or certification in Tooling, Machining, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Tooling Technician, Mold Technician, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in injection molding or related processes and tooling systems.
• Experience with mold repair, preventive maintenance, and tooling setup is essential.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with a deep understanding of tooling, molds, and machining techniques.
• Proficient in using precision measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, CMMs) to check tooling accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Clear reporting of tool status and issues to production and engineering teams.
• Explain tooling changes, setups, and preventive actions in teams meetings and support documentation.
• Skilled in CAD/CAM and tooling management; familiar with CNC interfaces and measurement tools.
