Job summary

Amcor LLC in Pittston is seeking a Processing Technician to support plastic injection molding operations. The role requires machine troubleshooting, data recording, and collaboration with maintenance to keep equipment in top condition.

You will monitor processes, perform start-ups/shut-downs, manage material changes, and implement corrective actions while upholding safety and quality standards in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior plastic injection molding experience is highly preferred.
• Possess or obtain a technical understanding of injection-molding processes and procedures.
• Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot minor machine issues.
• Discern molding issues from machinery or process issues.
• Record accurate production data for tracking purposes.
• Develop corrective actions for machine/molding issues.
• Track downtime, quality performance, and machine efficiency.
• Train personnel to improve technical capabilities.
• Evaluate the quality of products from newly set-up machines.
• Monitor production process and respond to machine/mold issues.
• Start-up and shut-down molding machines as necessary.
• Perform material and color changes proficiently.
• Communicate changes and important information to the Manager or Supervisor.
• Ensure all system performances are optimized and safe.
