Job summary

Dymotek invites applications for an Injection Molding Process Technician to support our 3rd shift operations in Ellington and Somers, CT. You’ll help keep thermoplastic and silicone molding running safely and efficiently, handling mold changes, startups, inspections, and process control on the shop floor.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and we do not sponsor work authorization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mold Technician experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to read measuring devices such as micrometers, Vernier calipers, Acu-Gage.
• Stand 8–12 hours, lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Promote and follow safe work practices—safety is everyone’s responsibility.
• Perform mold changes and startups according to Authorized Process documentation.
• Complete first piece inspections and verify startup and in-process inspection paperwork.
• Troubleshoot processes and inspect parts to ensure conformity and quality.
• Use Troubleshooting Matrix documents to support consistent problem-solving.
• Perform material changes, mix materials, and support material handling needs.
• Complete required in-press mold cleanings and monitor support equipment such as circulators and grinders.
• Maintain clean, organized 5S work areas.
• Provide break coverage and support other production needs as required.
• Work at the Somers and Ellington facilities as needed, with occasional weekend coverage.
• Maintain regular, on-time attendance, an essential function of every role at Dymotek.
