Job summary

ALPLA Inc. is seeking a Process Engineer in Kansas City, MO to lead injection molding development from pilot to production. You will collaborate with packaging, mold experts, and designers to optimize processes and ensure quality while collecting data and performing QA analyses.

The role requires a BS in engineering or engineering technology and a minimum of five years’ experience in injection molding. A highly flexible schedule and travel up to 25% are expected, with strong teamwork and

Qualifications

BS in engineering or engineering technology is preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience with injection molding processes.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

Conducts unit cavity development on injection pilot machines, including setups and optimization.
Performs production tool qualifications at ALPLA facilities.
Collaborates with packaging managers, mold experts, and designers to develop robust pilot and production processes.
Collects and records machine and process data.
Performs QA testing and QA data analyses.
Evaluates new materials, colors, and additives.
