Job summary

ALPLA Group, a global leader in sustainable packaging, seeks an experienced professional to advance injection molding processes on-site in Missouri. You will develop cavities, qualify production tools, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize pilot and production operations.

The role requires at least five years in injection molding, strong organizational and communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or engineering technology preferred
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience working with injection molding processes
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills
• Strong knowledge of blow molding material characteristics
• Detail oriented with ability to solve complex problems
• Demonstrated ability to create technical reports

Responsibilities

• Conduct unit cavity development on injection pilot machines, including setups and optimization
• Conduct production tool qualifications at ALPLA facilities
• Collaborate with Packaging Managers, mold experts, product designers and project experts
• Collect, record and transcribe machine and process data
• Perform QA testing and QA data analyses
• Evaluate new materials, colors and additives
• Develop and implement innovative systems to optimize the product development process
• Provide input on corrective actions
• Ensure processes meet customer requirements at optimum rate and quality
• Operate and maintain material dryers and colorant additive equipment
• Purchase, operate, process, store and track injection tools
