Job summary

Southeastern Container, Inc. is seeking an Injection Machine Operator to safely and efficiently run injection molding machines and crane systems, supporting production of preforms and parts that meet quality standards.

The role involves start‑up/shut‑down, process monitoring, changeovers, quality testing, and accurate reporting in a manufacturing environment. The position requires following safety procedures, performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting minor issues, and maintaining equipment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education/work experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions and safety rules.
• Basic math skills for recording production and quality data.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude to learn injection molding equipment and controls.
• Ability to perform material and product changeovers accurately.
• Ability to work a 12-hour shift with overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team leaders and maintenance staff.

Responsibilities

• Safely start, stop, set up, and operate injection molding machines and crane systems.
• Monitor resin/colorant feeds and coordinate product changes as needed.
• Verify product against specifications and report quality issues to leadership.
• Troubleshoot minor process issues and maintain equipment within parameters.
• Handle scrap, perform tests on preforms, and report out‑of‑spec results.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and complete reports accurately and on time.
• Attend training, safety meetings, and shift handoffs as required.
