Job summary

Southeastern Container, Inc. is seeking an Injection Machine Operator in Candler, NC to safely start up, operate and monitor injection molding machines and related equipment, ensuring quality and on-time production.

You will perform changeovers, basic maintenance, tests, and keep accurate production records. The role requires strict adherence to safety protocols, teamwork with supervisors, and willingness to work 12‑hour shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety rules.
• Basic math and data recording.
• Mechanical aptitude to learn equipment.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts including overtime.
• Compliance with PPE and safety procedures.
• Capable of handling changeovers and quality checks.
• Team communication with supervisors and peers.

Responsibilities

• Safely start, stop, set up, and operate injection molding machines and the crane system in accordance with established safety and operating procedures; follow Lockout/Tagout, electrical safety, confined space and machine guarding requirements.
• Monitor resin and colorant feed to support continuous operation and coordinate preform changes as required by Production Scheduling.
• Monitor operating conditions and production output for compliance with quality specifications; notify the Team Leader or Injection Operations Manager of issues.
• Troubleshoot minor process and equipment issues and profile machines within operating parameters.
• Identify, isolate, label, and handle production out of specification in coordination with leadership.
• Account for machine scrap and process scrap as directed.
• Perform visual and technical tests on preforms to verify conformity to quality standards and report out-of-specification product.
• Monitor support equipment and report malfunctions.
