Job summary

Luttrell Staffing Group is seeking an Injection Molding Set-Up professional in the Paso Robles area. You will set up compression molding machines, adjust settings for quality, and run mold trials with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy.

Weekly pay and a temp-to-hire path are offered. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, be able to read procedures, perform measurements with calipers, and use Word, Excel, and IQMS systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Set up compression molding machines, install molds/tools/dies with correct alignment.
• Adjust machine settings (temperature, pressure, cycle times) to meet specs.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Run mold trials and inspect products, adjusting processes for quality.
• Maintain accurate records of setups, maintenance, and production documentation.

Job Duties for Injection Molding Set-Up positions:

Set up and prepare compression molding machines, installing molds, tools, and dies with proper alignment and configurationAdjust machine settings including temperature, pressure, and cycle times to meet production and quality standardsInjection Molding Set-UpTroubleshoot equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and make repairs to minimize downtime and ensure reliabilityConduct mold trials, test runs, and inspect finished products, adjusting processes to maintain qualityMaintain accurate records of setups, adjustments, maintenance, and complete required production documentationOperate molding, CNC, thermoforming, cutting, and secondary shop equipment including drills, sandblasters, dryers, and ovensFollow all safety procedures and support plant and manufacturing leadership with production needsCompletes any other related tasks as needed

Qualifications and Desired Skills for Injection Molding Set-Up positions:

High school diploma or equivalentFollow AS9100 standards, documented procedures, and maintain traceability while ensuring aerospace, customer, and regulatory complianceIdentify and report nonconformities, support corrective actions, and promote quality, safety, and continuous improvementAbility to read, interpret, and communicate procedures, safety rules, and technical information; complete reports and collaborate effectivelyAbility to perform basic math and measurements using calipers and apply problem-solving and critical thinking in varied situationsUse Microsoft Word, Excel, and IQMS systems efficientlyDemonstrate professionalism, integrity, time management, and strong communication skillsStanding, walking, manual use, lifting up to 40 pounds, and maintaining visual accuracyAbility to stand for the duration of the shiftAbility to stoop, bend, squat, kneel, twist, and reach
