Job summary

Randstad USA in Lincolnton, NC seeks a Mold Setter / Set Up Technician to be a hands-on change agent in a growing manufacturing environment. You will install and set up injection molds, troubleshoot machines, and train teammates. Shift is First from 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM.

This role emphasizes safety, LOTO, crane and forklift operations, and strict adherence to SQF and GMP procedures. Medical, prescription, dental, vision, AD&D, life insurance, short-term disability, and a 401K plan are provided;

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a mold setting or related role.
• Experience with injection molding equipment and mold changes.
• Familiarity with LOTO, crane, and forklift safe operation.

Responsibilities

• Install and remove injection molds in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate mold change status to operators, supervisors, technicians, and process engineers.
• Mold installs include clamping, alignment, and electrical/hydraulic connections.
• Mold pulls involve disconnecting connections and preparing molds for storage or toolroom.
• Troubleshoot injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain mold boxes and components; create boxes for new molds.
• Train Setup team members on safety and startup procedures.
• Complete LOTO, Crane, Forklift, and Fall protection training.
• Work with SQF and GMP procedures; maintain a clean, safe work environment.

To be the "ideal candidate" for this role, you will be a person who pays attention to the little details, enjoys repairing industrial machinery and being hands-on.

salary: $37,500 - $58,240 per year

shift: First

work hours: 5:45 AM - 6 PM

Responsibilities

• Install and remove injection molds in a safe and efficient manner.
• Communicate the status of mold changes to the operators, supervisors, technicians, and process engineers.
• Mold installs will consist of clamping mold in the press, proper mold alignment, water, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical connections.
• Mold pulls will consist of disconnecting all mold connections, putting all components in mold specific box, transporting mold to toolroom or stored area, and preparation of injection molding machine for incoming mold.
• Troubleshoot any issues with injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain organization of mold boxes and components.
• Create mold boxes and necessary components for new molds.
• Train other Setup team members on safety, operational procedures, and startups.
• Complete LOTO, Crane, Forklift, and Fall protection training.
• Working Knowledge of SQF and GMP procedures.
• Perform daily housekeeping to provide a clean and safe work environment.

The essential functions of this role include:
