SURGE Staffing seeks a dependable Mold Setter to support manufacturing operations in an injection molding environment. This role assists with machine setup, adjustments, and equipment operation while helping maintain quality and safe production practices.

The position offers multiple shifts with pay ranging from $17.00 to $22.00 per hour. Candidates should have manufacturing experience and be able to read work instructions, follow safety procedures, and work well in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and ability to read work instructions.
• Familiarity with Excel and Word preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and equipment operation in an injection molding environment.
• Train and assist associates with preventative maintenance and safe equipment operation.
• Ensure machine safety features are functioning properly and follow established safety procedures.
• Perform lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when clearing equipment faults and restoring machine energy, in accordance with established procedures.
• Inspect and measure parts to ensure products meet quality specifications.
• Identify and report quality or safety concerns to the Team Leader or Production Manager.
• Assist with troubleshooting production issues and making machine adjustments to produce quality parts.
• Maintain accurate production records, paperwork, and data entry.
• Record and dispose of scrap properly and complete daily rework as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain workplace organization standards.
• Operate equipment such as cranes and forklifts as needed.

Pay: $17.00 per hour- $22 per hour

Available Shifts:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the manufacturing facility.

Work Environment

This position works in an injection molding manufacturing environment and requires following safety procedures, standard work instructions, and quality requirements.
