Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc seeks a Process Engineer to support automated assembly and injection molding manufacturing across product lines in Tempe, AZ. This fixed-term contract lasts 9 months with benefits, training, and full-time hours. A $1,000 bonus is offered for milestones at 12 and 24 weeks.

The role is hybrid, onsite at least 3 days per week, with no relocation. You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment, processes, and cost while ensuring quality and schedule

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Significant experience in process engineering may substitute for formal education.
• Minimum 3 years plastic injection mold processing experience required.
• Lean Sigma and Six Sigma experience with four years of practical application a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and develop specifications; manage projects from conception to production.
• Perform process development on new and existing molds.
• Design, execute, and analyze engineering studies.
• Provide engineering guidance to optimize plant, machinery, and processes.
• Assist in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic design modifications.
• Coordinate validations and process engineering evaluations for manufacturing equipment.
• Manage plant and capital projects; document work and track history.
• Improve processes to manufacture a quality product at minimum cost.
• Provide technical expertise to plant personnel.
• Research vendor proposals and determine feasibility of design or application.
• Assist in installation of new products, tooling, and related processes.
