Job summary
ENGEL Machinery Inc. in York, PA is launching a paid apprenticeship for Plastic Injection Molding Processing Apprentices.
The program trains mechanically inclined individuals to operate and troubleshoot injection molding machinery, optimize processes, and gain hands-on experience with ENGEL equipment. Upon completion, apprentices transition into a full-time Processing Technician role with solid career growth opportunities.
Qualifications
- Mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on work.
- Trade-school graduates or individuals with manufacturing, machine operation, industrial maintenance, plastics, automotive, or other technical experience.
- Curious, dependable, and eager to learn new technical skills.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
- Interested in building a long-term career in plastics processing and advanced manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Learn to set up and process plastic injection molding machines.
- Assist with mold changes and production startups.
- Monitor machine performance and product quality.
- Troubleshoot processing issues and manufacturing defects.
- Work alongside experienced Processing Technicians.
- Complete structured classroom and hands-on technical training.
- Develop expertise with world-class ENGEL injection molding equipment.
- Help improve efficiency, quality, and production performance.
