Job summary

Pentair plc in New Brighton, MN seeks a Tool and Die Maker to support the design, build, and upkeep of injection mold tools and fixtures. You will manufacture mold tooling, core pins, and critical components, while performing routine maintenance and collaborating with R&D on key projects.

We value strong machining skills, ability to read drawings, and adherence to tight tolerances (±0.0002 inches). The role includes 1st shift hours, 6:00am–2:30pm, with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years experience in a Tool Room environment, specifically molding.
• Completed an Apprenticeship or Technical Certificate.
• Experience building all mold tool types (two plate, three plate, hot runners, hydraulic/mechanical unscrewing).
• Ability to work to tight tolerances (± 0.0002”).
• Strong bench skills in assembly, fitting, timing of slides, and blueing shutoffs.
• Ability to read technical drawings or work without.
• Experience with CNC Milling/Turning and CNC EDM.
• Proficient with CAD to generate tool paths and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture Injection Mold Tooling.
• Manufacture all critical components ( Inserts and core pins ).
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance of injection mold tools.
• Manufacture jigs and fixtures for production areas.
• Collaborate with R&D on critical projects and tool development.
• Participate in 5S and Kaizen activities.
• Meet deadlines with methodical planning and organization.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
