Job summary

Pentair plc in Sanford, NC is seeking a Tool and Die Technician for 3rd shift. You will install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain injection molds and tooling, while supporting production and facility equipment and performing fabrication in the toolroom.

The role involves on-call duties, budgeting for tooling, and collaborating with vendors. Strong blueprint reading and precision workmanship are essential. 3rd shift hours are from 10:45pm to 7:15am, Mon–Fri, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, tooling prints, and part prints with accuracy.
• Be able to operate tool room equipment and use precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain all injection molds that belong to Pentair Pool Products.
• Build and maintain fixtures to remove hand loaded inserts and enhance operator safety.
• Get quotes on tool repairs to stay within budget.
• Repair and maintain tooling and participate in continuous improvement processes.
• Set tooling priorities and coordinate with scheduling to minimize downtime.
• Communicate with outside molding vendors for quotes and repaired tools.
