Job summary

TERZO POWER SYSTEMS LLC in California is seeking a seasoned mechanical design engineer to lead product development from prototype to production. You will oversee projects, conduct design reviews, and provide manufacturing support.

This role requires 8+ years of mechanical design and project experience, a BS in Mechanical/Industrial/Mechatronics engineering, and proficiency in SolidWorks. You will create manufacturing drawings and collaborate with suppliers and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years of mechanical design and project experience.
• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or related degree.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks.
• Experience in creating drawings for manufacturing, customers, prototypes, etc.
• Project management experience bringing products to market.
• Customer facing communication with design and quality engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and oversee projects including development of prototypes, scaling products to production, and providing manufacturing support
• Lead design reviews for new product development
• Develop and perform validation testing procedures on mechanical and electronic systems
• Generate engineering documentation for all stages of product development
• Work with suppliers to purchase and qualify components
• Participate in failure analysis and root cause determination
• Lead certification testing (UL, CE, etc.)

• Familiarity with brushless DC motor control
• Familiarity with UL, ISO, and similar standards
