Job summary

St. Luke’s University Health Network seeks a dedicated Infusion Technician to float among network infusion centers as needed.

You will participate in data collection, planning and execution of patient care, and support registration and documentation within the EMR system. Responsibilities include welcoming patients, registering them, performing vital signs, glucometry and phlebotomy as needed, and preparing charts for next day’s patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred healthcare training.
• Successful completion of BLS or equivalent within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and assists individuals on arrival in a professional manner.
• Gathers information to complete patient registration and outpatient records.
• Prepares charts for charting and scans into EMR.
• Triages and routes calls to RNs as needed; understands registration in EMR.
• Schedules patients using Cadence Snap Board Scheduling.
• Performs vital signs, glucometry and phlebotomy as assigned.
• Prepares charts for next day’s patients.
