Job summary

Logan Health is seeking an experienced Infusion Scheduler to support the Hospital Infusion team. The role coordinates scheduling, insurance coordination, and documentation, acting as the link between patients, clinical staff, referring offices and payors.

Responsibilities include reviewing referrals and authorizations, managing multiple EMR systems, and maintaining patient confidentiality with HIPAA compliance. PRN schedule, day shift, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of scheduling experience.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Ability to manage documentation and use multiple EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate infusion appointments accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate with patients in person or by phone about appointments and instructions.
• Coordinate with clinical teams, referring offices, insurance companies and other departments.
• Review referrals, orders, authorizations, and documentation to meet scheduling needs.
• Assist with insurance verification and prior authorization tracking.
• Maintain accurate patient and scheduling information in EMR systems.
• Process incoming and outgoing faxes and electronic documentation.
• Protect patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Provide backup scheduling and administrative support as needed.
