Job summary

Brightstar Care of Northern Michigan is seeking registered nurses for in-home care in Traverse City and surrounding areas. Part-time positions with flexible scheduling and travel within a 60-mile radius.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ year RN experience in hospital, facility, or clinic settings, proficiency in IV access and PICC/Port management, and strong assessment skills. CPR and Michigan nursing standards familiarity are required; ACLS preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with proof of auto insurance.
• CPR certified (On-site free CPR re-certification).
• ACLS preferred, not required.
• One-year recent RN experience within a hospital, facility, or clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home nursing care in Traverse City and surrounding areas.
• Perform peripheral IV access, wound care, ostomy care and medication management.
• Manage PICC/Port and essential assessments in the field.
• Document care using EMR and adhere to Michigan nursing standards.
• Coordinate travel within a 60-mile radius and communicate with patients and families.

Job description

Seeking RNs for Home Care, starting with part‑time. Flexible Schedule, No Long Shifts, 1 to 1 Nursing and more.

$40 starting pay commensurate with experience.

We are looking to add experienced nurses to our in‑home business for Traverse City and the surrounding areas.

The optimal candidate will be proficient in successful peripheral IV access, PICC/Port management, and have excellent comprehensive assessment skills. We also provide wound care, ostomy care, foot care and medication management with training available. This nurse must be able to work independently in the field, have excellent communication and time management skills. In addition, they should be familiar with EMR documentation and with Michigan nursing standards. This individual should be comfortable driving in all weather conditions, up to a maximum of a 60‑mile radius.

We are independently owned and operated, Joint Commission accredited, and serve the greater Northern Michigan area. Brightstar Care provides home infusion therapy to individuals from pediatric to geriatric.
