Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.
• RN License in state of employment.
• Physical requirements: Medium work with lifting up to 50 lbs intermittently.
• One year RN infusion experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, review of medical records and data; evaluate responses to ensure optimal outcome.
• Develop and implement patient plan of care and observe outcomes in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrate competency in IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collections.
• Maintain patient charts and records; document status, interventions, and outcomes; use IT to communicate and support decision-making.
• Promote, advocate, and collaborate to protect patient health, safety, and rights.
• Provide patient/family education by assessing learning readiness and providing instruction; evaluate teaching effectiveness.
• PRN requires 5 shifts in 6 weeks.
