Job summary

Cook Children’s is seeking a Registered Nurse for Infusion Center in Fort Worth, TX. You will deliver competent infusion services, follow the nursing process, and work within a patient-centered team to meet the needs of diverse patients across hematology/oncology, nephrology and other specialties.

The role requires Texas nursing licensure, a graduation from an accredited nursing program, and current BLS; PALS may be obtained after hire and APHON certification is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas.
• Current BLS.
• PALS may be obtained post hire.
• APHON Certification is not required but encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Deliver infusion services using the nursing process with a patient-centered focus.
• Collaborate with the Infusion Center team to coordinate care for hematology/oncology, nephrology, rheumatology and other patients.
• Access ports, start IVs, monitor patients and manage equipment in a fast-paced setting.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, safety, and discharge steps.
