Job summary

Qualifications

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Minimum of 6 months of nursing experience or active participation in the Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program.
• 2 years of oncology nursing experience preferred.
• Oncology ambulatory infusion experience preferred.
• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.
• Must obtain Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification within 30 days.
• OCN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care.
• Communicate ongoing patient status and treatment plans with healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies.
• Document patient assessments, plans of care, interventions, and evaluations electronically.
• Provide patient and family-centered education for health optimization and disease management.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary discharging of patients for safe transitioning and continuum of care.
