Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Oncology Infusion Center. In this PRN daytime role, you will support chemotherapy and other infusion therapies in an outpatient setting at the David M. Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, assess patients, manage IV access, monitor responses, and educate patients and families. Oncology-specific care is provided with strong emphasis on safety and compassionate, patient-centered service.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN license in good standing.
• CPR certification or willing to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusions.
• Monitor for reactions and treatment responses.
• Maintain peripheral IVs/ports/central lines.
• Collaborate with oncologists and pharmacists on plans.
• Educate patients and families on meds and care needs.
• Review labs and communicate findings to the team.
• Document care in the electronic health record.
• Uphold safety standards and infection prevention.
