Job summary

Mercy South is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Oncology Infusion Center at the David M. Sindelar Cancer Center in St. Louis, MO.

You will provide infusion therapies, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support patients through their treatment journey in an outpatient setting. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, safety, and education, with a day shift schedule (8:00 am–4:30 pm) on a PRN basis.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, valid RN license.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Previous oncology infusion experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients before, during, and after infusion treatments.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, hydration therapy, and other infusion medications.
• Monitor patients for treatment responses and adverse reactions.
• Access and maintain peripheral IVs, ports, and central lines.
• Collaborate with oncologists, providers, pharmacists, and staff to coordinate treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families on medications, side effects, and ongoing care needs.
• Document assessments, treatments, and responses in the EHR.
• Maintain oncology safety standards and infection prevention practices.
