Job summary

Baptist Health seeks a registered nurse to work within the CBC Oncology Center, delivering direct adult and geriatric patient care and applying the nursing process. You will perform chemotherapy, diagnostic procedures, and routine duties as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires acute oncology experience or Med-Surg/ED nursing with BCLS, and a willingness to obtain chemotherapy certification within six months. JOIN a large, integrated health system rooted in Kentucky communities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; BSN is preferred.
• Active Kentucky Registered Nurse license is required.
• Minimum 1 year Med-Surg or ED experience; oncology experience preferred.
• BCLS required.
• Oncology nursing certification preferred.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification should be obtained within 6 months or orientation.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient status, labs, and understanding of chemotherapy.
• Provide care per policies and oncology nursing guidelines.
• Educate patients on care and symptom management.
• Evaluate patient response to therapy.
• Collaborate with physicians, social workers, pharmacists and care team.
