Job summary

Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, MO seeks an experienced Staff Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and coordinate nursing activities within the unit’s scope.

Responsibilities include assessing patients, administering IV therapies, documenting care, and participating in quality improvement efforts. The role requires Missouri RN licensure, BLS, and ongoing competency in oncology nursing as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.
• Currently licensed to practice as a professional Registered Nurse (RN) in Missouri.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Current AHA or Red Cross BLS required.
• Current AHA or Red Cross ACLS preferred.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work within the established policies, procedures and practices prescribed by the hospital/clinic.
• English sufficient to provide and receive instructions/directions.

Responsibilities

• Direct and/or perform nursing care to patients within license scope.
• Assess and monitor patients and document care according to policy.
• Initiate and monitor IV therapies in infusion center.
• Participate in QA projects and unit improvements.
• Serve as sitter after education and training.
