Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital is seeking an RN for the GYN Oncology department to provide compassionate care during chemotherapy infusions and to engage with patients and families to enhance their healthcare experience.

The role supports a part-time schedule in an ambulatory setting, with travel within the region to assist physician clinics and surgical procedures. On-site hospital environment in Cleveland, OH.

Qualifications

• ADN or BSN required.
• One year of RN experience.
• Chemo or oncology experience preferred.
• RN license active in state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within six months of hire.
• Cancer-specific certification or ongoing qualifying education may be required for certain roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory/infusion setting.
• Assess health status and perform nursing assessments.
• Perform telephone triage and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures as needed.
• Notify physician or LIP of abnormal findings.
• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Develop and document health education for patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support clinics and procedures.
